External Fixation

Our external fixation systems have been designed for optimum clinical capability. In attaining this, we have worked with, and learnt from, the best physicians from around the world. We have taken and applied this knowledge when designing and developing our systems, which are currently being used to successfully immobilise bone fractures for healing in the following medical conditions:

• Severe open fractures
• Highly communited closed fracture
• Arthodesis
• Infected joints
• Infected non-union
• Limb lengthening
• Deformity corrections

Clinical Capability - Our systems provide exceptional frame stability - enhancing bone and soft tissue healing, and at the same time allowing surgeons to place all necessary pin groups prior to final alignment and reduction of the fracture.

Soft Tissue Repair - Our external frames permit ready access to the affected limb and enable optimal care of soft tissue injuries. Secondary post-operative skin and bone grafting can also be performed without affecting the reduction.

Frame Design Versatility - Each major component of the frame can be adjusted by any one of the three planes for both flexibility and rigidity. This versatility and freedom in the design allows for separate frames to be used for the better management and control of complex fractures.
